Physical Appearance

Blobs have an amorphous body, they like to stay in an oval shape for unknown reasons. Their body composition is gelatinous and often compared to jelly. They are green but the shades change from the inside to the outside. Their inside is clearer and lighter because it is where they have their digestive slime and the outside is darker and more consistent to be able to move around without falling apart.

The size of a normal blob is approximately 30 cm in width and 15 cm in height, but they can grow to three times their size. They can fuse together and reach outrageous sizes but it's rare since it hurts them to do so.

Ecology

Blobs reproduce by consuming full eggs instead of only egg shells in great quantity. The green blob body will not be able to digest the yolk and will keep it as nutriment for days, if the blob keeps eating eggs in the following days or eats many at once (approximately 20) they will transform it into a core which they will let out when ready in order to produce a baby blob.

Diet

Rocks, egg shells, quartz and salt. They have a non-acidic digestive slime inside their body that only allows them to dissolve those types of nutriment.

Habitat

They adapt to almost any environment expect extreme ones like burning heat or freezing cold temperatures. Green blobs tends to like populated areas and are mostly seen in Normal biomes.

Behavior

They wander quite slowly and live their lives just through eating and sleeping. Green blobs are attracted to other living beings and seem to like observing them and following them. It is one of the reasons why they are so popular with children.

Green blobs are not usually aggressive. The only time where a green blob cast spells is when it is really hungry, but since their diet is quite easy to find in nature it hardly ever happens.

Threat level

☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ - Null: Even though they possess powerful digestive slime, it is completely inoffensive for organic skin. Children often like to play with them.

Abilities

Green blobs do not have much abilities either physical or magical. They have a very high defense since their body is flexible.

Magic

Green blobs are assigned with the ice element. It means that while starving, green blobs are able to cast ice spells.

Use

Green blobs have interesting properties mostly used in potions. Digestive slime and core (when pregnant) both are ingredients.

History

It is unknown how blobs were originally created. At first, it was even questioned if they should be classified as Magic beings, not knowing if they possessed mana at all. Since then, it was discovered that they possessed mana multiple times. First time was when a blob entered a zone deprived of mana and decayed in a puddle of goo, the second time was when a yellow blob burned up a shed with a spell. Since then, it was discovered that every blob has an element assigned.
